About Dr. Johnston

Craig Johnston is a practicing Vocational Expert with Johnston Vocational Consulting and is an Associate Professor and Program Director of Rehabilitation Counseling at Northeastern Illinois University.  He has served as an expert in Personal Injury, Workers Compensation, Marital Dissolution, Social Security, and Employment Law cases, and provides vocational evaluation and job placement services throughout the Great Lakes region.  He is a graduate of The Ohio State University, where he received his doctorate in rehabilitation services.  He teaches Masters level coursework on vocational assessment, job placement, evaluation techniques, career development, and psychiatric impairment.  Dr. Johnston serves as an editorial board member for both The Rehabilitation Professional and VECAP journals.  He holds memberships in the National Council of Rehabilitation Educators, International Association of Rehabilitation Professionals, and Vocational Evaluation and Work Adjustment Association and is certified as a Rehabilitation Counselor.  Over 200 practicing rehabilitation counselors in the United States have been students of Dr. Johnston.
